Uncharted 2 I think best describes this article.
It will be remembered as the first progressive game that has captured the art of great storytelling/intuitive game play/ good control set-up.
Thought the original Silent Hill was still the best..
.. and Fatal Frame is second.
This will surely push the sales of Heavy Rain even more..
..plus a lot of gamers' searching, dedicating and surely posting websites for Jacqui Ainsley aka Madison Paige.
Be sure of that.
I think my only question is once we start and get used 3D viewing will we be demanding now that all TV programs/shows and all ( past and present movies, whether they be dodgy or blockbusters ) be re-formatted to 3D?
Because that's how I felt when I saw Avatar, thought they have perfected 3D ( from previously wearing those paper and very bad red and green glasses to this.. ) and would really want to see more of it.
Honestly I don't mind wearing this new 3D glasses, they are...
Sony = GranTurismo and that's a fact.
A very high percentage of gamers' out there gauge how they would put down their money when buying consoles ulimately on racing games.
Because it is the only genre that can re-create reality ( that we always encounter day to day ) in heaps and bounds, and you can clearly tell if the gameplay is on par with real world standards add to the staggering amount of details and features involved.
I think the Madison character looks more like this in real life ( http://www.sbs.com.au/shop/... ) ... or even Sharleen Spiteri of Texas band fame ( http://www.sharleenspiteri.... )
What do you think?
Thanks for posting, although just 3 more additional hints they are very important and awesome info.
Especially like the last bit about weather system wreaking havoc.. as this would make races simply more challenging on-line and add to that during night races, wow!!
I think it's not only me here but a lot of gamers' out there who doesn't really want to admit that all the bitumen race/street tracks on GranTurismo series are just way too perfect and clean..
..I'd really like to see more realistic road imperfections, maybe a few varying degrees of ruts/potholes here and there also put some tire markings on the tracks to make it more believable.
This would surely make the driving/racing more challenging but pleasurable at the same time. ...
Forza 3 though is actually very good, but it's just begging for more varying race/street/tracks especially off-road and snow.
It's really good to see a lot of debate about Heavy Rain.
One things for sure it's another boundary crossed by gaming and good that it's on the best console around where it can show all it's potential.
It's really good that Sony is investing on games that are forward thinking.
Another 8 months from original March release.. wow that is way too long.
They do need to add more new cars/concepts which could be released during that timespan and hopefully more tracks.
Maybe update the WRC Series in GT5 game with upcoming new S-WRC S2000 Category - cars competing are: ( Ford Fiesta, Citroen DS3, Fiat/Abarth Punto, Opel Corsa, Skoda Fabia, Peugeot 207, Proton Satria )
Especially add more features and some surprises I hope.
I'll definitely get those new tracks.. but have to say in all honesty and couldn't believe I'm saying this but the cars that disappointed me with the last batch of DLC were: Audi R8 LMS/GT3, Saleen S5S Raptor and even Aston Martin One-77 - the best ones: Mustang/Shelby GT500 and Audi RS6 and Lotus 2-11.
I really do hope that they come-out with some dirt tracks for the SUV class and some of the 4WD cars to race in. Please Turn10.
Retail sales statistics do matter and GranTurismo as a franchise and game is just utterly unbeatable, but do have to credit this latest iteration of Forza as delivering on the fun-factor.
I can't believe they forgot Tomb Raider.. PaRappa the Rapper's another and though it was banned Thrill Kill was quite outrageously wrong but very good.
Everybody wants to know about the consequences that will arise between Markus and his faaj-ther in Gears 3 as seen on the ending right after the credits on Gears 2..
A friend gave me a burnt copy of BMX (3X) and thought the game was pervertedly lame and pointless.. Rumble Roses XX for the XBox360 at least had some good points plus the characters were all voluptuously sexier than those on DOA.. Bayonetta has a good game/re-play value and the sexiness and softcore nudity was part of her character.
I hope the story doesn't disappoint because having seen a few game play video samples, it looks absolutely stunning and quite engrossing..
..as for the lady in the game Madison Paige, she looks like a mix of Sharlene Spiteri of ( Texas - pop band ) and main character in Jaquie Brown Diaries.
This game is quite revolutionary, I'ved seen a few actual gameplay demo clips and they are very riveting.
It's good the demo is coming very soon, can't wait to have a go.
Hope the developers of this game are reading all the uplifting comments given to Uncharted 2..
.. if they want precious Lara to succeed.
Got me a copy of Tomb Raider: Underworld and do think it's the puzzles that has only saved this game for me, intuitive character moves and control pad set-up are it's weakest points.
